Most foreigners aiming to establish a company in Singapore and reside while working for over six months, the Employment Pass (EP) is the preferred option.
Professional Employment Pass
Holders of Singapore work visas like EP and PEP are permitted to bring their spouses and children under the age of 21. The salary requirement for an EP starts from S$4,500. Meanwhile, the Personalized Employment Pass (PEP) demands a higher salary, typically necessitating applicants to have a significantly higher income level, at least S$12,000 and above.
If the salary is sufficiently high, applying for a PEP offers more flexibility as it does not require sponsorship from an employer and allows for job mobility. Even in cases of temporary unemployment (lasting less than 6 months), the visa does not immediately become invalid.
